One parting thought:  George Pataki's salary is also paid by the taxpayers of New York, even when he gives a speech in Iowa or Louisiana, or wherever.  Alan makes a contribution to the region as both a professor and a part of WAMC.

Frankly, as long as he fulfills his obligations to SUNYA, I don't have a problem with his "moonlighting."  Perhaps the trustees should rethink their policy about this issue.  By the way, I graduated from SUNYA.
